Since starting my studies and graduating from University of the West of England (UWE) with a first class BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, I have gained experience working with a range of clientele including professional athletes and non-sporting clients focusing on acute and overuse musculoskeletal injuries. I achieved a post graduate qualification in Dry Needling since finishing at UWE.
I have spent several years working in a private healthcare clinic, gaining valuable experience treating a mixture of injuries and providing clients with appropriate, functional rehabilitation. Alongside this I have worked closely with Bishopston RFC as their first team sports therapist, aiding the players with pre game taping and pitch side management of injuries as well as following this up with appropriate treatment and rehabilitation to enable them to return to sport as soon as possible.
I have been a keen athlete since the age of 9, with my passion being in athletics. I have lots of experience in track and field and completed the 2018 London marathon in aid of Meningitis Research Foundation, raising over £4,000 in the process. As a result of developing numerous injuries from years of competitive experience, this gave me the driving force to pursue a career aiding people back to optimum health and fitness.
I am fully registered and insured with BASRaT (British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers), in which the register has been approved as an accreditied register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
